£5 in, or £7 with theLOOSE CANNONS7inch!
Marcus from Loose Cannons passed away this weekend.
I don’t really know what to say, but on a personal note all i will say is that Marcus is one of the greatest people i have ever met. Im just glad he knew how much i loved him and that he told and showed me how much he loved me.
On a band level, I’ve always supported Loose Cannons from the first time i heard practise room demos.. actually from being told what the band was gonna sound like before hearing it. But i also did and am putting out their records the way i do because of how much i love all four of them as people.
The test presses turned up last friday, so Marcus never got to see and hear them.. but we told him the week before and he was really excited about it.
The release show is still going to be on the 31st of March at the Black Heart, with the same bands bar Loose Cannons so if you can try and come down and celebrate Marcus’.
Thank you for reading.
Sean x
March should see up release three new records.
One will finally be the Well Wisher ’Summer Gangs’ tape. It has been largely delayed for a few reasons but the main one holding it up now is the fact that i have gone on holiday and wont be back til early March, and need to dub all the tapes. They will be available to order early March and sent out shortly after though, promise.
In the mean time you can listen to it here: http://wellwisher.bandcamp.com/album/summer-gangs
We are also releasing the Slow Science EP ‘You’re Welcome’ on tape. It has been out for a while now but the cd release has now sold out so we will be releasing it with all new art work.
You can listen and download that record here: http://slowscience.bandcamp.com/album/youre-welcome
We are also really really excited to be releasing Loose Cannons new EP as it will be our first foray into vinyl. This 7inch will be their last recordings as they are breaking up, (you can read why in our previous post or two). They are playing a last show in Camden at the Black Heart on the 31st of March, which will also be the release show for this record.
You can listen to the four songs here: http://www.facebook.com/pages/Loose-Cannons/134300833255302?sk=app_178091127385
More information on the show once all the bands are confirmed and the flyer is done.
Thank you for reading,

So Loose Cannons were the reason this silly little label thing started, just over a year ago. We will be putting out a 7inch of theirs next month with four now songs (that can all be streamed on their facebook page).
It seems like we will also be putting on their last show on the 31st of March, the date of what was going to be the YC year 1 show. The reason for them breaking up can be found in a thereabouts way, here; http://mytransplantdiary.tumblr.com/post/17678425064/please-read
Marcus is one of my/our best friends, so if you have ever liked Loose Cannons please try and make it to the last show, as i know it would mean the world to everyone, especially him. It will be with Mexicofallz & ten speed bicycle at the Black Heart in Camden.
I will post more infomation as i get it.
ALSO, LISTEN TO THE NEW LOOSE CANNONS SONGS HERE: http://www.facebook.com/pages/Loose-Cannons/134300833255302?sk=app_178091127385
Details on the 7inch pre order soon x
On the 31st of March 2011 at the Fighting Cocks Dividers and ten speed bicycle played a show with Loose Cannons as a release party for thier split tape.
One year on I decided to commemorate the date by putting on a show with all the bands who have or are planning to release something on Youth Camp Records!
Jackals
A hardcore band thats hard to pin point sound wise. Sometimes straight up 80s, then crusty, then thrashy.. With a few 7inches and a load of shows last year, with a lot more in the making this year.
http://www.wearejackals.blogspot.com/
Loose Cannons
Been away since the tail end of last year due to illness, but with a split 7 inch already recorded (with Yes We Canada) there should be a lot more to see from these guys this year. Straight up pop punk, kind of like Movielife & Saves The Day.
Listen to and download Their demo that came out on tape, on Youth Camp Records, here: http://youthcamprecords.bandcamp.com/album/demo-2010

Dividers
South Wales best, and least organised, gruff punk band. You know what to expect, and if not listen and download to their split here: http://youthcamprecords.bandcamp.com/album/dividers-ten-speed-bicycle-split
http://dividersuk.tumblr.com/
ten speed bicycle
London emo 3 peice, who should have a new ep out for this show (on whatweshouldbedoing records). This band is just getting better and better!
http://tenspeedbicycle.tumblr.com/
Porches
Brilliant pop songs by brilliant punks! Took their foot off the gas a little last year due to half of the band dressing up like Guy Fawkes, and after Iona was plucked from obscurity to play bass in the great Great Cynics, whilst Luke pushed his solo offerings.. this year Porches will be releasing their album and starting to play a little more regulary!
Losing Sleep
New band from Kingston, kind of like Your Favourite Weapon era Brand New & the Promise Ring.
This show is £5, all on the door!
Doors are at 6pm, with the first band on just after. Bands will finish at 11pm, with DJs Demo Dan (Loose Cannons & To The Dogs) and Sean (Well Wisher) until 2am.
There will be art exhibited by artists that have done art for Youth Camp releases or just helped us along the way! That will be announced properly nearer the time.
Also, Slow Science wernt able to play this show but will be releasing their demo on tape, with us soon! Listen to that and download it here.. http://slowscience.bandcamp.com/

This is Marcus from Loose Cannons’ blog diary of the treatment he has been going through on the rode to his recovery from cancer. He had his transplant last week, and i went to see him last night and he looks really really healthy, and well thats it really. He didnt act or do anything differently to normal for me to talk about.
this does take for an interesting read, albeit at times hard. Take it as you will but i thought just incase you was not aware of the blog (or Marcus’ situation at the moment) i would put it on here. Also i wanted to let you know that he is doing great as well!
Loose Cannons also have a new song up on their facebook page, that will be coming out on a split with Yes We Canada early next year, with another three songs.
So the past 3-4 months have all built up to yesterday.
I finally had my bone marrow transplant.
I had to begin the morning with another dose of radiotherapy at 8:30am. When I came down the nurses told me that everything was on track and the new cells were flown over that day. The life…
